TaraNova Vacation Club operates under the umbrella of TaraNova Recreation Club (Ontario) Ltd., a not-for-profit organization established to oversee, advise, and direct all Club operations.
Its mandate is to ensure excellence across every aspect of the Club and to remain fully accountable to the membership for all decisions that impact the well-being of the Club. To keep maintenance fees as low as possible, while continuing to offer high-quality properties, management regularly evaluates resort usage and maintains those locations that best meet the needs of our members.
Governance & Member Control
The Club is governed by a Board of Governors, elected directly by the membership.
All Club properties are held in trust by a company controlled by the Board, for the sole benefit of the members. The Board is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the Club, approving financial statements, and accountability in all operations.
Together, the Board is dedicated to fulfilling the Club’s promise: to provide members with quality vacation accommodations and exceptional experiences through TaraNova Vacation Club.
Your Voice Matters
The Board consists of up to seven members:
- One representative of the Club manager
- Up to six members (or representatives of members)
All members in good standing are eligible to run for election. When the number of candidates exceeds available positions, candidate biographies are shared with the membership as part of a mailing, along with the election ballot.
Board elections are conducted in accordance with Article IV, Section 4.02 of the Rights and Obligations.

This structure ensures that control of the Club remains in the hands of the membership and that future decisions continue to reflect the needs and priorities of those it serves.
