How they work

TaraNova has four home-based resorts/areas:

  • Villas Palmas, Costa Rica
  • Attitash, New Hampshire
  • Seawatch Inn, Myrtle Beach
  • Tahoe Region, Nevada

By joining TaraNova you guarantee your family a membership full of quality vacations. Traditional timeshare may include a specific week at one location, such as week 32 (August) – always the same time and the same place. However, modern travelers want variety and flexibility, especially if their needs (where and when) change each year. TaraNova’s vacation club is flexible. It allows you to experience the exotic rainforests and volcanos of Costa Rica one year and to enjoy the mountain range in our New Hampshire ski resort the next. When and where is up to you! TaraNova members make great use of their “home-based resorts” but ownership in TaraNova is like an open passport to almost anywhere in the world.

TaraNova is affiliated with Resort Condominium International, (RCI) which is the largest resort exchange company in the world. 

Members of the Advantage Program (AP) have the ability to purchase weeks/vacations/travel etc. Members may deposit weeks for exchange for travel cash/credits to use in their program towards many travel options.

Members have the benefit of depositing their TaraNova week(s) into RCI and/or AP to exchange or use credit redemption for properties and much more all over the world.

Special Note:

All requests to bank are on a first come basis with special exclusions for high priority weeks at the complete and sole discretion of TaraNova.

The cut-off date to deposit your current years’ week with RCI is November 15th of each year or you could lose the week. Deposits to other Exchange Companies are limited and have could have other restrictions. Please contact head office for further details. Weeks for AP must use live future inventory, are limited and may only go into AP for while supplies last.

Travel the World with TaraNova and RCI!

Whether you want a quiet get-a-way; a family ski trip; miles of sand beach or a spin of the wheel in Las Vegas – Your TaraNova membership allows you the benefit of depositing weeks for exchange into RCI and the ability to Travel the World!

RCI is the largest exchange company in the world! After experiencing the RCI advantages almost all TaraNova members continue as RCI members for an annual fee. RCI provides members with an ID number and a huge “on-line wish book” – a directory of resorts, listing resorts worldwide and the services that are available.

RCI is simple to use. Send your request in writing to TaraNova to bank your week(s). Be sure to include your full name and TaraNova membership #.  TaraNova will bank (deposit) the best available week into your RCI account. From there, you just log on or call RCI and commence a search on for the location/date of your desired location. 

RCI’s Advantages

  1. It is the largest exchange organization in the world for facilitating your exchange from TaraNova to many resorts worldwide.
  2. RCI provides a space banking pool. If you don’t plan to utilize your TaraNova week(s) in that year, then you may deposit it with RCI.  RCI gives you 2 years from the travel date of the deposit to travel on exchange.
  3. If you prepay your dues to TaraNova you may even deposit weeks up to two years in advance into the RCI system. This will provide you higher “trading power” of your week.
  4. RCI offers spur-of-the-moment travelers an Instant Exchange option.
  5. RCI offers a “CRUISE PROGRAM”. 
  6. RCI offers extra weeks, in addition to your TaraNova weeks.
  7. RCI has a full-service Travel Agency that may provide special rates on car rentals and hotel rooms; travel insurance, special vacation packages, best possible airfare at the time of booking, and MUCH, MUCH MORE.
  8. You pay an exchange fee upon requesting a search. If RCI is not successful in obtaining your desired location, you may request to have the exchange fee refunded to you or keep the funds on account at RCI for your next exchange. You may also purchase a Guest Certificate if you plan to allow someone else to utilize your week.
  9. DEPOSIT EARLY – REQUEST EARLY to ensure the HIGHEST TRADING POWER.

AP is a great Loyalty Reward Program that includes earning and redemption options. TaraNova members received their own personal AP membership number to either sign in on-line, or to call for personalized service.

TaraNova members do not have to give up their RCI membership. AP can be in addition to RCI or stand alone with your TaraNova membership. The program pricing for AP is in USD currency only. Ap allows authorized users on your account, which do not require a Guest Fee.
